Product Description

Medisorb P Silicone Border is a highly absorbent, self-adhesive island foam dressing. It features an advanced five-layer construction: an atraumatic silicone contact layer, a polyurethane foam, a non-woven distribution layer, a superabsorbent core with polyacrylate fibers, and a waterproof, highly breathable outer polyurethane film.

Mode of Action

The multi-layer structure of the dressing ensures dynamic exudate management by effectively absorbing fluid within the absorbent layer, distributing it evenly, and evaporating excess moisture outwardly. This process maintains an optimal environment conducive to healing. Simultaneously, the polyurethane foam provides cushioning for the wound, the outer layer serves as a barrier to pathogens, and the silicone contact layer ensures atraumatic dressing changes, minimizing patient pain and the risk of trauma to the wound bed and surrounding skin.
